It's a Small World (after all)

Since I have been home sick for so many days you can imagine I have surfed the ENTIRE internet. I decided to (of course) look up friends and family on FB that I haven't seen in a long time. I could hardly believe it when I actually found a distant cousin from Italy. The last time I met her she was about 5 years old... I have a picture of her walking the chickens in the backyard in Gattinara Italy. She is such a cutie too... she is about 16 years old and wants to make movies some day. After a few days of cooresponding back and forth she left the following on her Facebook page:

Che bello! Grazie a Facebook abbiamo ritrovato dei lontani parenti americani! Hi!

Translated that means:

How great! Thanks to Facebook we found our distant American relatives! Hi!

Welcome Back!!

So I finally made it back to work today... mind you this was my first day out of the house in 5 days, seriously 5 LONG UNEVENTFUL DAYS!! I figured out the "cat was out of the bag" when I got to my desk and I found the little pig and a bottle of hand sanitizer welcoming me back... Way too funny!!

Halloween 2009

This is my "work in process" for Cy's costume. He decided, after many requests, on being a pilot... I decided to go with it since we are getting closer and closer to the big day. I must say that I am shocked he doesn't want to be Spiderman, a race car, Superman or a dinosaur (again)....

Stupid Flu!! Winnie the Flu....

So I really didn't think this H1N1 would ever get to me but that is what I get.... Yes, I have to call it H1N1 because the swine flu is just plain GROSS!! My girlfriend actually enjoyed emphasizing to me how this virus comes from pigs and now I have pig junk in me too.... so we decided that it needs a different name... she told me that there is Charlotte for the spider but we couldn't find a name for piglet... so we have now named the swine flu - Winnie the Flu

As you can imagine, after being out of commission for the past few days, I am pretty bored. Well now blogging will not only help me with the time I have on my hands but I look forward to chronicling all of our family events in the future....
